His party was also educating residents not to buy excessive food and hoard stocks.
"We ensure that food stocks in Jakarta are sufficient, thus people do not need to panic," she expressed.
According to her, the Jakarta Provincial Government had made some efforts to meet food demand and stabilize prices, especially rice. That was maintaining supplies in collaboration with the Central Government and between business actors (B2B), as well as optimizing the role of PT Food Station Tjipinang Jaya.
Then her party routinely monitors stock, price and quality together with the Food Task Force. Then control inflation expectations through cheap basic food activities, the cheap food movement (GPM) for the general public and the distribution of subsidized food for certain communities.
"We also synergize with the Central Government to control prices, by distributing 5 kg of medium quality SPHP rice to the public with a HET by Rp 54,500 in rice shops and modern markets," he explained.
Jakarta KPKP Agency's Agricultural Section Head, Mujiyati hoped that today's education could make residents understanding of how to manage food, thus it remains good and suitable for consumption.
Besides being good for health, the management and storage of food must also be maintained, thus it does not impact the family's welfare.
"If food is stored improperly and is damaged, it can't be consumed but it's actually a burden," he stated.
